At Gemini Adventures, our philosophy is to bring backcountry adventures to athletes of all levels and abilities. Our trips are catered around you; from the experienced backcountry athlete to the novice outdoorsman, we strive to make every Adventure Getaway the best backcountry vacation you’ve experienced.
James “Bear” Barnett is the operator of Solxplore, LLC providing remote environment medical and rescue support, courses and equipment. He’s an experienced paramedic, guide, and educator. Gemini Adventures has been fortunate to work with him for over 4 years and this year he’ll start an exciting new position leading our small group running and biking tours. When Bear is not working with Gemini Adventures he can be found exploring and/or working canyons, peaks, oceans and rivers of the world.
See the stars like you never have before. Our campsites are in the remote landscape of Western Colorado and Eastern Utah, along the flowing waters of the mighty Colorado River to the aspen laid hills of the La Sal Mountains. We can accommodate groups with little to no camping experience or gear.
Our guides consider the backcountry their home, and you their guests. Within this home, the evening air circulates with scents of Dutch oven delights, like seared roasted chicken with rosemary potatoes and peach cobbler. Have dietary restrictions? Our guides have years of catering to the needs of their guests. Our professional guides can meet the needs of: vegetarians, vegans, gluten free/intolerant, dairy free/intolerant, Kosher, Paleo, food allergies, and any other special needs your group or individuals may have. We cater to the group with warm breakfasts, refreshing lunches and gourmet dinners. We will provide lunch from the first day to the last day.
Our guides have extensive medical training, ranging from Wilderness First Responder to National Registry certified Paramedics. The outdoors are their home, and responding to medical emergencies in remote locations is a specialty of our guides. Although medical emergencies are rare, our guides are trained to deal with it all.
We supply food, toilets, and trash receptacles. You supply the adventure gear (mountain bikes, running shoes, packs, etc.) as well as your own tent, sleeping bags and pads. No camping equipment? No problem. We can accommodate groups or individuals for an extra fee.
All transportation will be provided from the meet and greet location on the first day to the same location on the last day. Your group should focus solely on the Adventure Getaway ahead, and leave the logistics to the guides.
